Google rolled out PhotoSphere with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean across mobile devices, simply using the camera and the gyroscope it allowed users to generate 360 on the fly. With each iteration since the magic sauce algorithms have just gotten better and better, and now we can publish PhotoSpheres on Google Maps and review them with the gyro on mobiles too, coupled with a highend camera and its lethal.
There’s still plenty of challenges to making good quality 360s with mobile and a dynamic environment is a real challenge, but the beauty of it is its immediacy and the fact you can publish a moment in time onto Google Maps.

It’s possible to live document an event in 360s and publish within minutes.
