You’re hoofing around Dublin trying to catch a shop before it closes while keeping an eye out for nefarious footpath hazards (far too many in this town) and then, while cursing some fathom of Dublin City Corporation decision making, you spot a beaute of detail. Some overlooked little sewer cover with an utterly out-of-place typeface. A typeface to make you think “blocked drains” and “rainwater run-off” mightn’t be such bad things.
I’m not nerdy enough to know the name of the font, just that I like it and that it reminds me of a 1980’s calculator font, or was or a BMX.
The damn shop was closed by the time I got there.
